The area around the villa

Villa Golden Hill is located on a private hill, 2 km outside the small traditional village Malaxa overlooking the city of Chania and Souda bay which are located a few km away.

The whole surrounding area is in a quiet natural environment and even though the city is close, you can feel “away from it all”!

Next to the villa (450 m. away) there is a great small tavern called “Ovgoro” where you can go on foot or order food delivery to the villa. Also 500 meters away there is a horse park where children can play and ride horses.

Within 5 km away there is the picturesque village of Stylos, famous for its giant plane trees, the traditional taverns, the natural spring waters and Diktamos Gorge.

Furthermore 6.5-10 km away from the villa, on your way to Chania city, there is a bigger village called Mournies where you will be able to find supermarkets, bakery, butcher, gas station, newsagent shop, pharmacy, banks and some great traditional taverns.

In addition, if you are looking for privileges that only a big city can offer, then Chania town is 11 km away and offers unique facilities and a wide variety of entertainment.
